Copy System Baseline Offsets

This utility copies system baselines offsets (third arrow from the left) from one document to another or within a single document. Both documents must be open in Finale. It transfers from the current linked part or score in the source to that in the destination. It does not copy document-level baselines (the first two arrows). If those are different in the two documents the effective baselines will not be the same in the copied systems.

Some third-party plugins (and native Finale functions) fail to transfer system baseline offsets when moving systems around. Examples include Finale's Insert Systems feature, TGTools Split/Join Systems feature, and Score Merger. (Also just plain old insertion and deletion of measures.) This utility allows you to recover them. Since these operations in themselves sometimes scramble the systems, one recommendation is to make a copy of the document before inserting, splitting, or joining systems. Then you can transfer the baseline offsets from the copy. However, you can also transfer them within the same document, either between linked parts or score or within the same part or score.

Copy System Baselines

TO [document dropdown | part dropdown]. Displays a list of currently open documents and every linked part in each. The document/part you select is the destination to which system baselines are copied. It may be the same as the source.

Starting at System: [system]. The starting system in the destination document. If the utility reaches the end of the document before all systems are copied, it simply stops without copying the rest of them.

replicate [count] times. Check this to replicate the source systems the number of times given. It may be useful to replicate a single system in the source systemsto many  in the target. But it also works with multiple systems in the source. A value of 0 or 1 does not result in any replication. Enter a value of 2 or more for replication.

Match Staves: This option only applies if the source and destination are different documents. It tell the utility how to match up staves in source and destination.
