  • Force Full Names now works in Finale 2010 (and earlier). It also works in Finale 2011+, but in those versions it merely sets the built-in meausure option that was added in Finale 2011.
  • Staff Sets is disabled (and invisible) in Finale 2011 and later due to massive changes in staff optimization. Hopefully a future version of Staff Sets will reimplement it.
  • Alternate Notion is now correctly recognized in Finale 2010 and later.
  • Patterson Beams now works correctly with Percussion Maps in Finale 2010 and later. (It also continues works with older Finale versions.)
  • Several options are disabled in Settings Scrapbook based on Finale version, starting with Finale 2008. This is due to significant changes in how the options were implemented in Finale over time. Hopefully a future version of Settings Scrapbook will restore most or all of these options.

  • Accommodate various changes in how late versions of Finale (Finale 2009+) interpret forced measure number placement options. Results are now consistent across all Finale versions through Finale 2012.
  • Fixed a problem where an error dialog would prevent placing of centered multi-measure ranges using text expressions.
  • Group Name search feature is disabled in Finale 2011+ due to massive changes in how staff optimization works. Hopefully a future version of Copyist Helper will reimplement this feature.
  • Left/Right brackets are now recoginized in Finale 2012, but non-Ascii characters appear as "?".

  • Add Blank Pages works correctly in Finale 2007 (in Score View only) even when orphaned blank pages exist in the document. The user has the option to remove or keep orphaned blank pages, if there are any.
  • Beam Over Barline issues a warning when Scale Manual Positioning of Notes is checked in the Document Options/Notes & Rests options. This option effectively prevents correct alignment of the beamed-over notes. I believe the option exists only as a compatibility option for Finale files from versions pre-1993 (pre-Finale 3.0).
  • Force Full Names now recognizes its staff styles by name only. This allows you to edit the first one once and then reuse it each time you invoke the plugin in the file. The previous version required you to edit them each time because it created a new staff style if you had edited the previous one.
