Beam Selection

Beam Selection provides a shortcut for creating arbitrary beams within measures. It is particularly useful for large orchestral or band scores, but it is useful just about anywhere if you attach a keyboard macro to it.

Finale typically creates beams according to the time signature. To create beams that differ from the time signature, you either have to click through the options in Mass Edit->Rebeam->To Time Signature, or you have to go into Speedy for each measure in each staff. With Beam Selection, you simply select the notes you want beamed (in all staves at once) and invoke the plugin.
